Potty Time!

Well, it's time to brag...Olivia is Potty Training! Maybe not brag just yet, but give a solid pat on the back for trying it out!

For how long? Who knows!

At daycare there are two little boys potty training and Olivia wants in! So our daycare lady calls & asks if we can start potty training her.....ah OK. If you're on bored, we're on bored!

We got her some sweet potty chairs. One for daycare (in blue so it is Gender Neutral), one for home in pink of course! Why did we buy one for daycare? Well Miss. Olivia likes to take her time, read a book and have leisurely pee-time and Barb only has on the toilet type of potty seats, which w/ a handful of other kiddos is hard to watch little Miss. Princess while on the throne.

So she potty's by day and diapers by night. She doesn't like to do it at home as much as at Barb's but...we'll get there folks! You just wait!

$6.00 for the Dollar Store

This past weekend Olivia spent some time with my parents. Corey & I had a Couples Retreat at our cabin with some dear friends for a few days of well needed adult fun!

On Friday night my Dad was going to leave for a few minutes to go get his hair cut, he said "Bye Olivia my love, I will be back in 20 mins" and to that...Miss. Olivia FREAKED OUT! Threw her face on the floor, bawled her little eyes out and said "NO BU-BYE!". So he did what every awesome Papa does, loaded up the kid & Grandma & off they went!

Next door to chop-shop is a $Dollar Store$! So he gave Olivia $6.00 to go spend with Yaya and boy did they have fun!

It was a hard choice between doll accessories & personal accessories but she decided on: A Pink Purse, Feather Dress Shoes (pink of course), a bracelet & a necklace! And she played & played & played with her toys all weekend long. She put them on, took them off, packed them up, unpacked them & put them on. When we showed up on Sunday to pick her up, she made me try it all on, and then dressed up our dog.

What a fun fun weekend she had! Thanks Yaya & Papa!

Cheers to blog memories!

So I have to say I miss my blogging ways.

Even if it is only for my own eyes. I know there are a few people who like to catch up on the goings ons of the fascinating Sorenson’s but I viewed this blog as a chore instead of the relaxation it brings and as my own personal memory keeper!

I am really disappointed how I have let this get away from me, as documenting those first baby steps was crucial to me and as the baby ‘firsts’ started to wear off so did my documenting…and here I am today with holes in my babies timeline & a poor memory to back me up!
So here’s to backup drives & blogs. May they always keep our memories safe & our babies moments fresh in our minds.

Fabulous & Fifty

We had a georgous birthday bash for my georgous Mother on February 3th, 2010! I can't believe my little Mommy is 50! How time flies! It was a success, it was a semi-surprise. And she was semi-surprised! She knew we were up to no good, she just didn't know how fabulous & fun it was going to be!

Me: Olivia should we call Yaya (my Mom) and say goodmorning to her?
Olivia: NO! Papa!
Me: Hahaha! You are so silly Olivia!
Olivia: Papa R U? Where are you Papayaya?
Me: Ok we are at Barb's, are you excited to see your friends?
Olilvia: Yuv you! Baabieeeeeessssssss. Me Baabieeeeessssss.

Such fun little conversations. Especially when they are sweet and I am not getting sreamed at!
