Naptime Humor

When Olivia wakes up in the mornings or after naps we like to joke around with her that we can't find her outside her door saying "Olivia where are you?"

This past Saturday the conversation went like this:
Olivia (laying in her Crib): Moooommmmmy I awake!
Me (outside her door): Olivia? Is that you? Where are you?
Olivia: I right here! Giggles!
Me (still outside her door): I can't see you, where are you?
Olivia: I stuck in my curb (crib) Mommy! Giggles!

"Spring Break"

Olivia’s daycare had a little ‘spring break’ this week Monday & Tuesday so Corey & I got to spend a little extra time w/ our little tullah. Corey stayed home Monday, I stayed home yesterday. I had great ambitions of getting lots of packing done for the big move. As it turns out Olivia demanded a lot more of my attention…so we played & ran a few errands, made a yummy lunch and took a nap. Overall a successful day!

So today it was back to daycare! Corey dropped Olivia off this morning and she was not too thrilled. She loves Barb’s house, but sometimes the older kids are too ‘annoying’ for her taste so early in the morning. Plus now w/ a few new babies on board, she has an obligation to check on the babies before conversing w/ the older ‘folks’. Her friend Avery got in her way this morning, to which she threw a screaming match about wanting to see ‘baby madison’. Barb redirected her around Avery to see the babe quick before breakfast. To which Olivia walked past, threw her arm up to ‘hit’ him and then realized hitting is not ok, so she chose instead to grab his face & slam his head into the fridge door.

At least I have taught my baby not to hit, right?

Welcome back Barb! Hope your day is filled with fun & excitement!

Time To Purchase Some Waterproof Mascara!

So if I haven’t mentioned I have been a puddled mess of emotions this trip around pregnancy town. It is crazy. Really. Corey doesn’t even know what to do with me. Not all of these emotions are ‘sad’. Some are happy…too over the top happy! And some are dramatic….too dramatic. Keeps my household on their toes. I always told my Dad, if he didn’t have me and my drama (for better or worse) his life would be boring. Which is WAY TRUE. And I stand my ground on this.

So far this week I have:
*Monday: Cried (sobbed) at the sight of a tool box my Papa (who is no longer with us) gave me & my cuz Cassie when we turned 16! This is such a special tool box to me. Most of the ‘original’ contents have since been broken or lost EXECEPT FOR 1 small foot long bungee cord. I wish today I could ask him what he thought I might need this for…but I cherish it and told Corey to keep his paws off. This was not a bungee cord for use on ‘his junk’; this was to sit in my tool box, with my name hand written by my Papa, that will forever be under my sink. It’s amazing how fun it is to go grab a hammer and think of him every time. Mind you I have not cried like this over missing my Papa in YEARS. But it felt good…in a sad way…to know his spirit still lives on through me. I love you Papa and miss you dearly!

*Tuesday: Cried while watching American Idol. For those of you who watch, WHAT A BUNCH OF SINGERS THIS YEAR! I don’t even know who I want to win. I LOVE Crystal Bowersox, Lee Dewies & my cousin look alike Blake Fason…oops I mean Fabio…oops whatever his name is w/ the long curly blonde hair! Well Crystal sang People Get Ready by The Impressions, I don’t know if I have heard this song but it has such bold lyrics:

People get ready, there's a train comin'You don't need no baggage, you just get on board
All you need is faith to hear the diesels hummin'You don't need no ticket you just thank the lord
People get ready, there's a train to Jordan Picking up passengers coast to coast
Faith is the key, open the doors and board them
There's hope for all among those loved the most
There ain't no room for the hopeless sinner whom would hurt all mankind
Just to save his ownHave pity on those whose chances grow thinner
For there is no hiding place against the kingdoms throne
People get ready there's a train comin' You don't need no baggage, just get on board
All you need is faith to hear the diesels hummin'
You don't need no ticket, just thank the lord.

*Wednesday: Woke Corey up in the middle of the night because I was laughing hysterically about something in my sleep!

Corey said "If you get it started, and make the arrangements, we can see where it goes". Don't dare a woman! It is a funny joke around the house these days!

List of things to do:

Here are some pics from the listing, more to come!
Front of house, bad pic! If you squint you can see the elementary school right accross the street behind the house!
Back of house!

New Kitchen, LOVE IT! This is what sold me on the house! Love the open floor plan, and open kitchen! I love to be in the action, and this house allows us to do that!

Last Night I Had A Dream

Nueva Vallarta 2007
As with many nights through this pregnancy I have been having INSANE DREAMS!

Many, and by many I mean MOST of them are strange variations of Corey & I meeting for our first time. Most involve us meeting at ‘my dream college campus’ we attended, or at a ‘college party’. Sometimes he does not look like ‘him’ but it is always ‘him’. Sometimes he has dark hair or is short & chubby, but his name is always Corey and I always fall head over heels in love with him the second we meet! Last night he was taller, I was shorter but we looked the same. Weird how dreams work!

Last night I met my husband for the first time again. We met at a bar, and boy was he ‘dreamy’ (pun intended!). We spent the night flirting, smooching in the corner, and very gaga for each other all night. One thing leads to another, and we ended up back at his place (Note: nothing more happened in my ‘dream’ after this point)

Fast Forward 3 months…I had given this ‘dude’ my number and never heard from him after. In the mean time I find out I am pregnant. Shock – gasp – drama! And am not sure how to confront ‘the Dad’. I do see him in the library or on campus from time to time, and we say quick hellos, I throw out the ‘call me soons’ and we are on our way again.

The night most of this dream takes place is at some sort of outdoor festival I was at w/ some of my best girls! It was very spring breakish…and we are all dressed to kill, having a ball (me sober of course w/ baby in tow) and to my utter surprise there he is. At the same bar, talking to my cousin, and….asking for ME! J So he finds me. We sit & chat. He asks me on a date! Eeee! We move to a quiet corner on the patio to talk, we sit & chat forever and he notices how nervous I am. I finally can’t take the pressure & tell him about the pregnancy. And he was in SHOCK (of course). So much so in fact he gets up, and leaves! Jerk. And I just sit there & recount what would I do in his shoes and am crushed because I like him so much. And as I decided pregnant girls do not need to be clubbing – he returns with one pink flower & one blue flower. And lifts me up and gives me a ‘dreamy’ hug & kiss and tells me this will all work out. We sit & smooch & talk & cuddle for the rest of the evening and then I WOKE UP!What a weird dream! But what a cool dream!
I love meeting Corey over & over & over in such weird insane circumstances. I woke up missing my husband, and knowing we have the craziest week ahead of us I will just keep on dreaming of the carefree, pre-baby days until we can find some quiet time to take for each other!
Trish + Corey XOXO
